Backflow Services

A backflow prevention device is used to protect potable water supplies from contamination or pollution due to backflow.

You may have a backflow prevention device on your property if you have any of the following:

  • an irrigation system

  • fire hose reels or hydrants

  • a commercial or industrial activity or machinery connected to the mains

  • water outlets in proximity to pollutants, grease traps or chemicals

  • an underground rainwater tank that has mains water backup

It is a requirement that owners of installed testable backflow prevention devices must

  • register the device with your local Council

  • at lease once a year, have the device inspected or tested by a person who is licensed to do so.

Council will issue an annual reminder to prompt owners with installed testable devices at their premises to arrange testing.

Test results (Form 9) must be forwarded to Council by the Plumber conducting test.

All our plumbers are fully licensed to inspect, test, maintain and replace backflow prevention devices.

If you require this service, give us call today, we will be happy to help.
